Sustainability & Environmental Statement

Last updated: June 11, 2026 — DTF4Prints

DTF printing uses PET film, adhesive powder, and water-based inks — materials that carry an environmental footprint. We believe in being honest about that rather than greenwashing, and in making genuine progress where we can.

What we currently do

  • Water-based DTF inks — our inks are water-based and do not contain heavy metals or hazardous solvents, meeting standard safety thresholds for textile applications
  • PET film recycling — [describe your current film disposal/recycling practice, or "we are actively researching recycling options for our spent PET film"]
  • Powder management — adhesive powder overspray is collected and disposed of according to California environmental regulations
  • Packaging — [describe your current packaging materials — recyclable? recycled content?]
  • Local production — all transfers are printed in Buena Park, California. Buying local reduces the shipping distance and carbon footprint compared to overseas-printed alternatives

What we're working toward

  • Exploring PET film take-back and recycling partnerships
  • Transitioning to recycled or minimal packaging materials
  • [Any other initiatives you're pursuing]

What we won't claim

We won't call ourselves "eco-friendly" or "sustainable" without the certifications and third-party verification to back it up. DTF printing is a manufacturing process — it uses materials and energy. Our commitment is to minimize our impact honestly and transparently, and to be straight with you about where we are in that journey.
