Production Delay & Force Majeure
Production Delay & Force Majeure Policy
Last updated: June 11, 2026 — DTF4PrintsWe make every effort to meet our stated same-day printing and 24-hour shipping commitments. This page explains what happens on the rare occasions when we can't.
Common causes of production delays
- Equipment maintenance or unexpected mechanical issues
- Supply shortages (DTF film, ink, adhesive powder)
- Unusually high order volume during peak periods (holidays, back-to-school season)
- File issues requiring customer approval before printing can proceed
- Weather or natural disasters affecting our facility or carriers
- Carrier service disruptions (USPS, UPS, FedEx network outages)
- Government-mandated shutdowns or public health emergencies
What we do when a delay occurs
Carrier delays
Once your order has been handed to the shipping carrier (USPS, UPS, FedEx), delivery timelines are outside our direct control. We are not responsible for delays caused by carrier service disruptions, weather events, or incorrect addresses. If your package is significantly delayed in transit, contact us and we will open a carrier investigation on your behalf.
Your options during a delay
- Wait — we'll ship your order as soon as production resumes
- Cancel for a full refund — if your order hasn't entered production yet
- Upgrade shipping — if your order has printed but not yet shipped, we can often upgrade to expedited shipping at no charge during significant delays
Force majeure
DTF4Prints will not be held liable for failure to fulfill orders due to causes beyond our reasonable control, including but not limited to natural disasters, acts of government, public health emergencies, labor strikes, or utility failures. In such cases, we will notify affected customers promptly and work to fulfill or refund orders as quickly as circumstances allow.
