Content Standards
The small number of things we will not print, regardless of who is ordering or how many.

We print a very wide range of work, including designs we personally disagree with. Political slogans, strong opinions, edgy humor, and adult-audience material are all fine. This page covers the narrow set of content we decline, and it is deliberately short. For rights and licensing questions, see our Copyright Guidelines instead.
What we will not print
- Sexual content involving minors, or any sexualized depiction of a person under 18, in any style including illustration or AI-generated imagery. We report this rather than simply declining it.
- Content promoting violence against a person or group, including threats directed at identifiable individuals.
- Hate content attacking people on the basis of race, ethnicity, national origin, religion, disability, sex, gender identity, or sexual orientation, including the insignia of organizations whose purpose is such attacks.
- Content encouraging self-harm, suicide, or disordered eating.
- Impersonation — artwork presenting itself as issued by a law enforcement agency, government body, or emergency service, or as official identification.
- Content facilitating fraud, including counterfeit currency, forged documents, and fake certifications or credentials.
- Instructions for making weapons, explosives, or illegal drugs.
- Doxxing — a private individual's home address, phone number, or other personal information published without consent.
What we do print
To be clear about where the line is not, we accept:
- Political candidates, parties, causes, and protest slogans across the spectrum
- Profanity and crude humor
- Religious content of any tradition, and content critical of religion
- Alcohol, cannabis where lawful, and firearms imagery
- Adult-audience humor and innuendo
- Designs criticizing public figures, companies, and institutions
- Content we personally find distasteful
We are a printer, not an editor
Declining to print something is a serious thing for a print shop to do, so the list above is kept as short as we can make it. Disagreeing with a design is not a reason to refuse it.
How this is applied
Review happens before printing
Artwork is reviewed as part of normal prepress. Most orders pass without anyone thinking about this page.
Flagged orders pause
If something appears to fall in the list above, we stop and look at it properly rather than reject it automatically.
We contact you
Except where the content involves the sexual exploitation of minors, we tell you what we flagged and give you the chance to explain the context or substitute artwork.
Refund if it cannot proceed
An order we decline is refunded in full. We do not charge for work we would not do.
Context matters, and we will ask
Some artwork looks like it belongs on the list until you know what it is for. Historical and educational material, documentary work, recovery and awareness campaigns, satire, and reclaimed language used by the community it refers to are all common and legitimate. If we flag something and you can tell us the context, we will usually print it.
Discretion
We reserve the right to decline any order at our discretion. Declining an order is not an accusation, and it does not affect your ability to order other work from us. We apply these standards to every customer on the same terms — see our Equal Service Policy.

If you believe something we printed violates these standards, email info@dtf4prints.com with as much detail as you can. We review every report.
