A gang sheet works best when one sheet covers a whole job. Common setups include one customer's full-front, left-chest, and sleeve prints together; a team order with the same crest at adult and youth widths plus sponsor logos for the back; or several small customer jobs batched onto a single sheet so they share the length.
Choosing a Sheet Length
Start with the number of rows your designs need. For example, 3.5-inch square left-chest logos fit six across with 0.2-inch spacing, so 48 of them take eight rows, or about 30 inches. A 36-inch sheet covers that and leaves about six inches for sleeve prints or neck labels.
Add a Few Spares
Misplaced transfers, a crooked press, or a last-minute extra player happen on almost every job. Adding one or two spares of each design costs very little when they share a sheet with the rest of the order, and it saves you from placing a second order for a single replacement.
Batch Jobs by Deadline
If you decorate for several customers, group jobs that are due the same week onto one sheet rather than ordering a short sheet for each. A single longer sheet arrives as one package, keeps your pressing schedule together, and puts each order into the volume discount tiers sooner.

How DTF Compares
Deciding which method should handle a mixed order? This is how DTF gang sheets stack up against HTV and screen printing.
| DTF Transfers | Heat Transfer Vinyl (HTV) | Screen Printing | |
|---|---|---|---|
| Full-color art and gradients | Yes, printed in one pass | One color per vinyl layer | One screen per color |
| Setup charges | None | None | Screen setup for each color |
| Cutting and weeding | None | Required for every design | None |
| Short runs (1 to 24 pieces) | Practical at any quantity | Practical for simple designs | Setup makes short runs costly |
| Fabrics | Cotton, polyester, blends, nylon | Depends on the vinyl type | Best on cotton; polyester needs special ink |
| Where it wins | Multicolor designs at any quantity | One-color names, numbers, and specialty finishes | Very large runs of a single design |
Who Prints Your Gang Sheet
Your sheet is printed, powdered, and cured by our own production team in Buena Park, CA. DTF4Prints grew out of HTV4U, an authorized Siser® distributor that has served decorators for over two decades, and was built for the shops that wanted DTF from a supplier they already knew.
